He's been acting like a crazy maniac climbing the Christmas tree up to about the middle of it and then jumping out. He does this over and over and over again. Of course, ornaments fall off and he goes crazy batting those around the house too. My youngest daughter doesn't mind. It keeps her busy hanging them back onto the tree. He's having a merry ol' time with this Christmas stuff!
Unfortunately, many of the tree branches are now bent downwards... I'll admit the tree doesn't look that great anymore. Not a big deal though. I purchased the pre-lit tree 2 Christmases ago and already half the lights do not work. So if it gets destroyed by cats this year, it won't be the end of the world.
If it doesn't get knocked over at least once before Christmas, I'll be surprised.
Callie loves the tree too, but she's been a good kitty and just sits under it. She also enjoys a nice nap in the decoration boxes.
My next concern is what Roadside will do with packages that are put under the tree. I sense some paper shredding coming on!

DeleteThat’s a very lively tree you put up.
ReplyDeleteRoadside and Callie are adorable.
It looks like Roadside is having the best time with the tree! Funny enough, none of us or Sparkle have ever wreaked havoc with the tree, the few times it has been up.
ReplyDeleteThat's very cute Roadside, have lots of fun, tis the season!
ReplyDeletethe cat of my aunt loved the christmas angels they had on their tree... they had feather skirts and all ended nekked :o)
ReplyDeleteRoadie is having a good ole time for sure! Mom's cats favorite was the tree box and Saffie always slept under the tree skirt. Our tree has already fallen over but it was mom's fault. Love Dolly Pees: Glad we don't have a pre-lit tree!
ReplyDeleteMy Momma refuses to put up a tree of cat toys! ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteps - "tree of cat toys" might indicate WHY she refuses to put up a tree ;)
Oh boy......the ultimate toy - a Christmas tree with ornaments!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Sam
It looks like you're having a lot of fun, Roadside ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, I climbed the tree, too. Ernie still climbs it...and he's not little anymore. ~Wally
ReplyDeleteMy first Christmas with my girls (10 years ago) I worked night shift in critical care. Nearly each morning I came home from work my little tree was on its side on the floor. They never knocked it over the nights I was home.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking kittens and Christmas trees are not a good mix! Roadside is sure having some fun there though, and I love your good attitude about it! Whenever something gets destroyed around here and my hubby gets upset I say "it's just stuff".
ReplyDeleteOur late cat Katie just loved to lie on the gifts - I was always having to repair them!
Meow! It's like a winter wonder(play)land for Roadside! :)
ReplyDeleteSince I decorate my tree with cat toys, my cats love it
